Welcome to Rev. Brian Coplin & Family
The SPPR Committee is happy to announce our new pastor has been assigned. We welcome Rev. Brian Coplin and his family to the Many First United Methodist Church family. Rev. Coplin’s first day will be July 1st. Please remember them in your prayers as they prepare to move to Many. Let us also keep Rev. Gloria in our hearts as she plans her transition into retirement. Brian Coplin is from West Monroe, Louisiana and has called Kentucky home for the past six years. He will complete his M.Div. degree in May 2021 at Asbury Theological Seminary and serves First UMC of Lexington, KY as Fellow and Student Pastor. Vocational ministry is a second career for Brian. He has an undergraduate degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and an M.A. from LSU. He served Monroe City School System for nearly 14 years as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. His wife, Monica, is a Nurse Practitioner who works full-time from home and part-time in urgent care. Their children, Jack and Anna Claire are eleven and nine. Jack loves piano and Anna Claire is an avid Girl Scout. The family cat, Duchess, is two and does nothing.
